231. Dial M for Murder
Hitchcock is a master and this is a thrilling masterpiece. Have a good day.
Magnolia (1999). Dir. Paul Thomas Anderson.
232. A Pure Formality
A very atmospheric film, constant raining, darkness, uncertainty. Great acting by Polanski and Depardieu. Direction is good (Giuseppe Tornatore) and the music is lovely (Ennio Morricone). Watch it at night for extra great mood.
Before bed: “Tomorrow I’m gonna watch atleast 3 movies”
Wake up: “Lets make that tomorrow instead”
Been like that for 3 years or more. Fucking sick of it.
Kill it with fire
233. Last Life in the Universe
I love relaxing films. Films that has minimal of dialogue, people just sitting around relaxing, listening to the environment, chillaxing. This film is one of them. The film takes its time, shit even the intro title doesn’t come until 20 minutes into the movie. It’s not perfect tho, got some cheesy humor, but who cares when its so rewarding mentally.
Been a while since I watched this film. And I can’t say I remember much either, tho I remember it was a bit unusual when it came to the editing. Jump cuts all over the place, I liked it. The dialogue was good if I remember correctly, Godard likes to rebel against everything, might be a good thing, might be bad, I’m not sure yet, need a re-watch for sure.
